Milk and Cream
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • whipped cream (for topping, optional)
Matcha and Sweetener
  • 1 tablespoon matcha green tea powder Use high-quality matcha for best flavor.
  • 1-2 tablespoons strawberry puree or syrup Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1-2 teaspoons sweetener (honey, agave, or sugar) Optional, adjust to taste.
Ice
  • Ice (if you prefer an iced version) Optional for iced version.

Preparation
  1. Prepare the Strawberry Puree: Blend fresh strawberries until smooth. Strain if desired, and add sweetener if necessary.
  2. Mix the Matcha: Whisk matcha powder with a little hot water (not boiling) in a small bowl to create a smooth paste.
  3. Heat the Milk: Warm the milk in a saucepan or microwave until hot, but not boiling. Skip this for an iced version.
Assembly
  1. In a glass, add the strawberry puree to the bottom. Slowly pour the warm milk over it.
  2. Gently add the matcha mixture on top, using a spoon to help with layering.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness with honey or your preferred sweetener.
  4. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of matcha, if desired.

Notes

Enjoy fresh for best taste. Store strawberry puree in the fridge for up to 3 days.
