Ingredients
Method
Marinate the Lamb Chops
- In a bowl, mix Ras el Hanout, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well blended.
- Place the lamb chops in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring all sides are well-coated.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish, and let the lamb marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight.
Prepare for Grilling
- Heat your gas or charcoal grill to medium-high heat.
- Make sure the grill grates are clean and well-oiled to prevent sticking.
Grilling the Lamb Chops
- Take the marinated lamb chops out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- Place the lamb chops on the grill and grill for about 4-5 minutes on one side until nicely browned.
- Turn the chops over and grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare or longer if desired.
- Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature (145°F for medium-rare).
- Remove the lamb chops from the grill and let them rest for about 5 minutes.
Notes
Serve garnished with fresh herbs and pair with sides like couscous, grilled vegetables, or a zesty salad. Drizzle with a yogurt sauce for added flavor. Avoid over-marinating to prevent a mushy texture and ensure proper grill temperature for even cooking.
