  • 1 tbsp Red food coloring

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup Butter, softened
  • 2 cups Powdered sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking dish (9x13 inches) with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and then add vanilla and food coloring.
  5. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until well blended.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Frosting
  1. Beat together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until creamy and desired consistency.
Serving
  1. Allow the bars to cool completely before applying the frosting generously.
  2. Slice into squares and enjoy.
