Ingredients

Dough ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk Add gradually
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Filling ingredients
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni Or your favorite toppings

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder. Cut in the unsalted butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually add milk, stirring until a dough forms.
  3. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/4-inch thickness. Using a round cutter or glass, cut out circles large enough to fill your muffin tin cups.
Assembly
  1. Lightly grease a muffin tin. Place the dough circles in each cup, pressing down to form a base. Spoon in pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and your choice of toppings.
  2. Roll out more dough for the tops, placing them over the filled cups. Seal the edges by crimping with a fork. Cut slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
Baking
  1. Pop the muffin tin into the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  2. Let them cool slightly before removing from the tin. Serve warm and enjoy the cheesy goodness!

Notes

You can prepare the dough and filling in advance and store them separately in the fridge. Consider serving with a side salad or dipping sauce for a complete meal.
