Ingredients

Fruits
  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 can mandarin oranges, drained
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
Mix-ins
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional) Can be omitted or replaced for variety.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (optional) Adds a tangy flavor to the mix.
Cream Base
  • 1 cup Cool Whip (or whipped topping) Can be substituted with a lighter version.

Method

Preparation
  1. Drain the canned pineapple and mandarin oranges well to prevent excess liquid from diluting the salad.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained pineapple and mandarin oranges.
  3. Slice the strawberries and add them to the mixing bowl.
  4. Add the mini marshmallows for sweetness and texture.
Creamy Base
  1. In a separate bowl, mix the Cool Whip with sour cream, if using.
  2. Fold the Cool Whip mixture into the fruit mixture until well coated.
  3. Sprinkle shredded coconut on top for extra flavor, if desired.
Chill
  1. Refrigerate the salad for about an hour to enhance the flavors.

Notes

Serve in a clear glass bowl to highlight the vibrant colors. Use fresh fruits for a fancier version and consider garnishing with mint leaves.
