Preparation
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until mixed.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
Cooking
- Cover the crockpot and set it to low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the pot and use two forks to shred it into bite-sized pieces.
- Mix the shredded chicken back into the sauce in the crockpot, letting it soak up the flavor.
Serving
- Enjoy the pulled chicken on buns, over rice, or in salads.
Notes
For added flavor, consider browning the chicken beforehand. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F for safety.
