Brownie Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Optional
  • 1/2 cup nuts Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a large mixing bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Stir in the granulated sugar until well-combined, then add the eggs one by one, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Add the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the butter and egg mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
Baking
  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  3. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. You can refrigerate them for added fudginess.
